How do I get the app?
Android: the beta is in open testing — install it straight from Google Play, no signup or approval needed. iPhone: open the TestFlight invite directly.
Where is ScanRebel available?
ScanRebel started in Toronto and Ontario, where coverage is strongest today. The beta supports Canada and the US, with plans to expand globally as the shopper network grows.
How do I submit a price?
In the beta app, scan a barcode or search for the product, then enter the shelf price and location before submitting.
Why do prices vary by region or store?
Prices differ based on chain, local promotions, inventory, and regional strategies. ScanRebel makes those differences visible and searchable.
How often is price data updated?
Price data updates in real time as community submissions come in. Freshness depends on how much recent activity exists for a specific product and region.
How do I flag an incorrect submission?
Use the bug report form above and include the product, the incorrect detail, and the location so it can be reviewed quickly.
Is ScanRebel free to use?
Yes. ScanRebel is free. Current production versions have no subscriptions, paywalls, or third-party ads. If that changes in a future version, it will be disclosed before release.
