ScanRebel Is a Beta
ScanRebel is early software under active development. Features may change, break, or be removed, data may occasionally be reset or corrected, and access to the beta may be paused or limited while we grow. We will do our best to be transparent when things change.
Community Price Data
Prices on ScanRebel are contributed by real shoppers and processed by automated tools. They are provided for information only. Prices change on shelves every day, and a submitted price may be outdated, mistyped, store-specific, or simply wrong by the time you see it.
Always verify the price on the shelf or at the till before you buy. ScanRebel does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or freshness of any price, and is not responsible for purchase decisions made based on community data. ScanRebel is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any retailer named in price submissions.
Your Account
- You must be at least 13 years old to use ScanRebel.
- Keep your login credentials secure — you are responsible for activity on your account.
- Beta signups tie access to the email address you provide (for Android, the Google Play email).
- You can stop using ScanRebel and request account deletion at any time.
What You Submit
When you submit prices, photos, product details, confirmations, votes, notes, or other content, you give ScanRebel a worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process, display, and share that content as part of the community price database — including in anonymized or aggregated form. You keep any rights you have in your content.
Submit only real prices you actually saw, and only photos you are allowed to share. Do not include people's faces, personal information, or private documents in submissions.
Acceptable Use
- No fake, manipulated, or deliberately misleading price submissions.
- No spam, scraping, bulk data extraction, or automated abuse of the service or its APIs.
- No attempts to break, probe, or overload our systems or bypass security and integrity controls.
- No using ScanRebel to harass others or to violate any law.
We may moderate, correct, or remove content and may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules or harm the reliability of the price database.
No Warranties
ScanRebel is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. This is beta software — expect rough edges.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BLZ IT Inc and ScanRebel will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, savings, or data, arising from your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us to use ScanRebel in the past 12 months (currently: zero — the beta is free).
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as ScanRebel grows. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date on this page, and for significant changes we will make reasonable efforts to notify active users. Continuing to use ScanRebel after changes means you accept the updated terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. Disputes will be handled in the courts of Ontario, Canada.
